Member of Australian Parliament Pay Courtesy Call to Speaker Romualdez, SDS Gonzales, Other Lawmakers

Members of the Australian Parliament Mr. Steve Georganas (Adelaide); Mrs. Bridget Archer (Bass); and Ms. Tracey Roberts (Pearce) paid a courtesy call to Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez at the House of Representatives, on Wednesday afternoon.Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio Gonzales Jr., Pangasinan Rep. Maria Rachel Arenas, Zamboanga del Norte Rep. Glona Labadlabad and Batangas Rep. Mario Vittorio Mariño warmly received their Australian counterparts alongside Speaker Romualdez.The Australian Parliamentarians visited the House a day before the commencement of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum's (APPF) 31st Annual Meeting, which started Thursday at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC). The APPF will run until November 26, 2023.The Australian Parliamentarians also took part in a photo opportunity at the Congressional Spouses Foundation, Inc.'s giant Christmas tree located in the main lobby. Mr. Dane Aquino, from the HREP Protocol and Special Affairs Service (PSAS), treated the Australian delegation to a brief tour of the House of Representatives Complex.
